Key Stage Inspections
Key stage inspections are designed to check that all of the trades work has been completed before allowing the next stage to continue.
Checklists are devised to cover all aspects of the work and our surveyors are invited to inspect on a pre-notification basis of 24 hours. Typically these are at pre dry lining stage and checks can include radiator and electrical outlet positions as well as checking satisfactory first fix trades completion. Insulation checks can also be carried out on timber frame developments.
As each developer will have different build practices and processes these can be designed to fit the optimum stages required.
In practice the stage at first fix, prior to dry lining/plastering has been chosen as the most popular key stage with checks on carpentry, electrical, plumbing and specialist items included to ensure that all aspects are completed and to a good standard prior to covering up.
Any stage can be covered by these inspections and a check list devised to suit all checks required.
