NIBE Fighter Exhaust Air Source Heat Pumps and SAP

Recent testing of the performance of the NIBE 205 and 360 Fighter Exhaust Air heat pumps, through Appendix Q, has impacted on the SAP results and therefore the choice of NIBE to install.

The current performance of the Fighter 205 indicates that unless it is installed with underfloor heating in screed it is difficult to achieve Code Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.  The Fighter 360 performs well, again better when combined with underfloor heating, and remains an option for achieving Code Level 3 in appropriate circumstances.

Please click here for the summary of SAP trials for the NIBE 205 & 306 Fighter units.

Always check with your NIBE specifier/installer which model is appropriate.
