SBEM

SBEM (Simplified Building Energy Model) is a calculation methodology used to demonstrate building regulations compliance with regards to conservation of fuel and power for non-domestic buildings. Approved Document Part L2A requires that the designed building achieves the CO2 emissions target. EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) - recent legislation requires that buildings being sold or let must demonstrate their energy efficiency. For non-domestic buildings BBS are able to use the SBEM methodology to produce EPC certification highlighting the level of efficiency attained.

Existing building EPC - BBS provide a site survey service that will enable non-domestic buildings to have their energy efficiency calculated and EPC produced. As with new buildings these certificates are required prior to marketing, selling and letting a property.
